DOH exam results, retakes and next steps
Check your DOH result in TAMM. After a pass, complete the facility link and licence issue before you work.
Facts last verified 5 October 2026. Updated 6 October 2026.
Find your result in TAMM
- Open the professional licensing dashboard in TAMM (DOH FAQ).
- Select your HPREG or HPACT application.
- Choose View, then Additional Details.
Your result is pass or fail, with no number score. A computer-based result appears within 24 hours. Oral and OSCE results appear within 5 working days (DOH catalogue).
Pearson VUE gives you a printed pass or fail report when you leave. It sends the result to DOH automatically (check-in rules). The public practitioner finder checks licences; it does not show exam scores.
If your result is missing
If a computer-based result is missing after 24 hours, check Additional Details first. Contact DOH at exam@doh.gov.ae for exam queries or support@doh.gov.ae for technical problems (DOH FAQ). Pearson VUE’s DOH programme page lists its support contacts, including HAADcustomerservices@pearson.com.
After a pass, complete licence issue
If you are not linked to a facility, link within 3 months of assessment. Otherwise the application expires (DOH catalogue). The licence needs facility nomination, clearance and payment. A pass alone does not let you work.
A DOH pass lasts 5 years if you keep meeting the PQR. A practice gap can mean another exam (catalogue). That pass validity does not extend the 3-month facility-link deadline. Follow DOH licence requirements for the application and documents.
After a fail, check your remaining attempts
The unified PQR shares 3 attempts across DOH, DHA, MOHAP and SHA; see UAE attempt rules. Declare your earlier attempts. Moving authority does not reset them.
DOH may allow a fourth attempt after you give reasons and it reviews them (procedural manual). It is not automatic. Under the DHA-hosted PQR, a final attempt at the same authority needs a declaration of no failures elsewhere. The PQR’s Tier 3 consultant-upgrade exception does not qualify for the conditional final attempt.
DOH’s manual allows 3 more attempts after a recognised new qualification passes verification. The DHA-hosted PQR also describes up to 3 new attempts after qualifying clinical experience. You must gain at least 2 years of clinical experience after your last exam attempt for the same title. The PQR copies differ. Ask DOH which rule applies before booking.
If you have failed a DOH exam, you must later pass the DOH exam in that specialty. An equivalency certificate gained afterwards does not replace that pass (DOH manual).
Check your window before a retake
The current DOH manual sets no wait within 6 months of the approved exam date. The catalogue’s OSCE FAQ gives a 3-month approval window. If you have an OSCE, ask DOH which window applies. An application closes if you have not passed when approval expires.
The 3-month wait after a fail and 12-month period after a third fail came from the 2012 HAAD standard. Those are old rules.
Check your remaining attempts and approval in TAMM before paying and rebooking. Follow DOH fees and booking for the Pearson VUE link and appointment rules.
