DataFlow primary source verification
DataFlow checks your documents with the bodies that issued them. This is primary source verification (PSV). A positive report means your papers are real. Your board still decides your title, if you can sit the exam and your licence.
Facts last verified 5 October 2026. Updated 6 October 2026.
Prepare the papers your board needs
DataFlow contacts your university, licensing body and past employers. It checks if papers are real and if the body that issued them is approved (DataFlow FAQs). Your board and package set the list.
- Check your package list. It can include your passport, degrees, marksheets, work letters, licences and good standing certificates.
- Sign the Letter of Authorization (LOA). This lets DataFlow contact the bodies that issued your papers. Most accept a digital signature; some need you to sign by hand.
- If your legal name differs on your papers, send proof of the name change. Your work letters must show your real dates and job title.
The job in your passport can differ from your later award. Your board decides your new title.
DataFlow’s general FAQ does not require embassy attestation or an apostille. Your board or recruiter can still ask for them (DataFlow FAQs). Check your board’s rules on language and how old your papers can be.

Qatar accepts DataFlow, Quadrabay and Approved Verification Services (AVS). Some doctors in Kuwait need EPIC checks. Read your board’s licence steps before buying a package.
Wait times and missing papers
DataFlow usually takes 15 to 25 working days after payment and a complete file (DataFlow FAQs). This is not a deadline for your licence. Your board can give a different wait time.
Missing papers and late replies can add to the wait. Conflict, strikes and natural disasters can cause delays too. Some issuers charge to release records. Check the fee before paying.
Reply quickly if DataFlow asks for missing details. A late reply can close the case as Unable to Verify (DHA DataFlow portal). If you fail to send details, you can lose the free appeal. Read DataFlow problems and appeals.
Reuse an existing report
To move your report, sign a new LOA. DataFlow reuses checked papers, but the new board can ask for more checks (DataFlow transfer service). You can get a new case number.
| Source | Without extra checks | With extra checks |
|---|---|---|
| DataFlow transfer service | Usually 5 to 7 working days | No general figure given in this article |
| Older support article | 48 to 72 hours | 30 to 35 days; working days not specified |
Neither article gives a start date. Check the time and fee in the new board’s online form. A report transfer does not move a licence, title or exam pass.
