DataFlow without an agent: the Gulf licensing steps you can do yourself

By the ProMCQ Editorial Team

You can do many Gulf licence steps yourself through official portals. An agent cannot replace the employer approval your board needs.

Keep control of your accounts

These are ProMCQ’s suggested checks. Use your own email and phone for each account. Keep your original documents. Read each form before it is sent.

For DHA DataFlow, use the name, email and DHA ID from Sheryan. Check which documents the package covers and its full charge. Get refund terms in writing.

DataFlow’s warning says you carry the risk if an unauthorised agent sends false details. Claims of insider contacts do not create an official route.

Separate paid help from official charges

An agent charges for forms or booking on top of official fees. Check fees and booking by board before you pay.

DataFlow sells its own help with forms and express checks. Pay through your account. Express checks do not change the board’s decision.

Paid help may suit you if forms are in a language you cannot read, or your employer runs the file. In Saudi Arabia, the employer pays recruitment, residence and work-permit costs under HRSD rules.

Check claims about attestation and activation

DataFlow does not need embassy attestation or an apostille for its checks. A board, recruiter or visa service may ask for it separately.

At DHA, the hiring facility activates the licence. You need active registration, insurance and, for non-UAE nationals, a labour card. The facility must offer the right service. An agent cannot do this without the hiring facility.

Frequently asked questions

Can DataFlow be done without an agent?

Yes. Apply through the official channel in your own name. For DHA, use the same name, email and DHA ID as Sheryan.

Do certificates need embassy attestation for DataFlow?

DataFlow does not need it for its own checks. A board, recruiter or visa service may ask for it separately. Check who is asking and why.

Can a second DataFlow application cause a discrepancy?

We did not find an official rule saying a second file causes a discrepancy. DataFlow lists denied, tampered or false evidence. To reuse a report, ask for a transfer.
