DOH exam fees and Pearson VUE booking
Pay for the DOH exam in TAMM after DOH approves you. That payment opens Pearson VUE booking; verification and licence issue cost extra.
Facts last verified 5 October 2026. Updated 6 October 2026.
Allow for the whole route
DOH gives no single total for the licence route. You pay for document checks, application, assessment and licence issue (2024 catalogue). It gives no separate fee start date. Check current charges in TAMM and your DataFlow quotation.
| Title | PSV | Application lines | Assessment | 2-year licence | Published sum |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| General Practitioner | AED 1,260 | AED 100 plus extra AED 100 | AED 570 | AED 3,250 | AED 5,280 |
| General Dentist | AED 1,260 | AED 100 plus extra AED 100 | AED 590 | AED 3,250 | AED 5,300 |
| Registered Nurse | AED 990 | AED 100 plus extra AED 100 | AED 540 | AED 300 | AED 2,030 |
| Pharmacist | AED 990 | AED 100; extra note not repeated on pharmacy page | AED 550 | AED 500 | AED 2,240, including general extra AED 100 note |
PSV means primary source verification, the DataFlow document check. The sums include both AED 100 application lines. We did not find an official answer on whether checkout charges both. For a GP, the sum falls to AED 5,180 without the extra line. These sums are not checkout quotes.
| Stage | Amount and conditions |
|---|---|
| Specialist or consultant PSV | AED 1,680 in the 2024 catalogue. |
| Listed specialist CBT or oral | AED 550 computer-based test; AED 100 oral; plus AED 100 application. Confirm your assigned assessment. |
| Extra DataFlow documents | Quotation depends on the number of documents; extra charges can change the first breakdown. |
| Existing report to DOH | AED 120 for a previous DOH report; AED 240 from another authority; AED 360 per extra document or missing mode-of-study check. No fee start date or tax details in the transfer article. |
| Degree recognition, only if needed (MOHESR service) | MOHESR recognises foreign degrees. Stage 2 costs AED 50 after a separately priced partner check. 18 working days, with extra time for more review. Check the current fee. |
DataFlow’s transfer article charges for a mode-of-study check. DOH’s manual says reports already sent to DOH are not rechecked. Ask whether your transfer needs that extra check before paying. Compare the transfer quotation with a new application.
DOH accepts only reports addressed to DOH. Ask your employer which charges it will pay. Include travel, retakes and appointment changes in your budget.
Check your approval window
The catalogue gives 6 months in its examination step. Its OSCE FAQ gives 3 months. Ask DOH which applies if your assessment includes an OSCE. Read the approval date in TAMM. If you have not passed when approval ends, DOH closes the application.
Pay in TAMM and book with Pearson VUE
Complete verification and DOH review first. Follow DOH licence requirements before paying.
- After DOH approves the exam, pay the pre-booking charge in TAMM.
- Open My Requests on the professional dashboard. Choose Book Pearson Vue Exam (booking guide).
- Choose the date, time and centre in Pearson VUE’s system.
- Print the confirmation and bring it to the centre (DOH programme).
- For an oral exam, use TAMM’s examination booking action instead.
After TAMM payment, Pearson VUE sends an authorisation ID. If it does not arrive, contact support@doh.gov.ae with your account details.
Choose a centre for the DOH programme
Use Pearson VUE’s DOH centre locator for your country. On 5 October 2026, one India search showed Surat, Pune, Ahmedabad, Gurugram and Noida. It was not a full list. A listed centre does not promise a seat for your exam and date.
Change your appointment in time
The 2024 catalogue gives these terms. Check the current terms in TAMM before changing a booking.
| Exam | Reschedule | Cancel |
|---|---|---|
| Computer-based test | At least 72 hours before: no extra fees | At least 72 hours before: booking fee refunded. Within 72 hours: no refund. |
| Oral or OSCE | Cannot reschedule; cancel and book again | At least 48 hours’ notice; no booking-fee refund. |
Cancelling or missing the exam is not a failed attempt. DOH restarts its review of your qualifications, experience and title. A late cancellation can still cost you the booking fee.
Prepare for exam day
- Bring 2 valid original IDs: your passport and another official photo ID. At least one must have your signature (ID rules).
- Photocopies are refused. Bring your printed booking confirmation.
- Arrive 30 minutes early. If you arrive at least 15 minutes late, the centre may refuse entry.
- Refused late entry loses the exam and delivery fees. You cannot transfer them to another booking.
- Staff take your photo and electronic signature. Phones, books and pens go in a locker.
- Use the standard screen calculator. No handheld calculator or paper is provided (check-in rules).
- A short screen tutorial comes before the exam. Breaks are allowed, but the exam clock keeps running. Questions are in English (PQR).
After the exam, follow DOH results and next steps.
