NHRA exam for Bahrain: choose your profession

Apply through Mehan, the online licence system, before booking. The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) reviews your file and sends an exam code if needed.
Choose your profession
- NHRA exam for nurses: Check if General Nurse or Practical Nurse fits your training. Find nursing cases, books and samples.
- NHRA exam for pharmacists: Practise drug treatment and dose sums. Use NHRA’s list of pharmacy books.
- NHRA exam for dentists: Use General Dentist practice. Finish your internship before you book.
- NHRA exam for doctors: Study for General Practitioner. If you are a Bahraini intern, check the rule conflict first.

- Prometric gives 2.5 hours of exam time within a 3-hour seating. Its programme page and NHRA's booklet give no question count.
- NHRA’s exam booklet sets 50% for nursing. Prometric says 60% for all Bahrain exams. Ask NHRA in writing which mark applies.
- Medicine, dentistry and pharmacy need 60% (NHRA pass-mark rules).

Which profession page should you use?
Use the title on your NHRA file: nurse, pharmacist, general dentist or GP. ProMCQ does not cover specialist papers.
Is the paper the same for every profession?
Each profession has its own NHRA book list. Check the time and pass mark for your paper.
Can you book before NHRA reviews your application?
No. NHRA must check your file, approve the exam and send a code first (exam booklet).
