Qatar Prometric exam results: pass, fail or missing result

By the ProMCQ Editorial Team

For Qatar’s Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) exam, use your booking’s result instructions. We did not find an official current result date. Prometric says the exam owner decides how and when results come (Prometric FAQ).

Check the result instructions

The 2014 QCHP FAQ described a score report at the exam’s end. It showed your score and pass status. This was the old process. Ask Prometric how your result will arrive.

If you passed

  1. Keep your pass certificate. It lasts 3 years under clause 7.5.1 of the DHP exam policy.
  2. Finish primary source verification (PSV), the check with each issuer. Send the report and any required exam pass with your online evaluation request.
  3. Use Qatar licence steps to check your degree, work history and documents. Passing does not meet the work requirement.
  4. DHP/2024/22 allows primary evaluation without an employer from 12 September 2024. The older applicant manual sends the request to your employer first.
  5. The evaluation certificate lasts 6 months and cannot be renewed. Arrange your employer and Qatari ID (QID). After DHP approves evaluation, apply for the licence.

A pass or evaluation certificate gives no right to work. Your licence needs an approved medical report, criminal record check and professional good standing. It is tied to a workplace, except for Qataris (licence service).

If you failed

DHP’s exam page allows 5 consecutive attempts in your scope, with any gap. Its exam policy, clause 7.5.4, allows an extra attempt for a clear reason. The SCHQ2 notice says it will not consider more attempts. Ask DHP before you rely on a sixth attempt.

Specialists face a different conflict. The physician guideline gives 3 trials for several specialty groups. The exam page gives 5. Ask DHP which rule applies to your scope before you book again.

We did not find an official Qatar retake waiting period. A gap does not reset your count. If you have attempts left, book through SCHQ2. Each retake costs the full sitting fee: USD 244 from 1 January 2026 (fee circular). Use Qatar fees and booking for payment, changes and exam-day ID.
