DHA exam results, retakes and next steps

By the ProMCQ Editorial Team

Check your official DHA result in Sheryan. After a pass, complete Get Registered before your employer activates the licence.

Facts last verified 5 October 2026. Updated 6 October 2026.

Find your official result

Your official result is pass or fail in Sheryan. It gives no raw score or detailed topic review. Open your application and its Assessments page (Sheryan FAQ).

DHA’s assessment manual says it uploads the result within 2 working days. The Sheryan FAQ says Prometric results are instant. Check Sheryan; if nothing appears after 2 working days, email info@dha.gov.ae.

Prometric also gives a learning-outcome letter with general strengths and weaknesses. This letter is separate from DHA’s official result. Keep it and your own practice records.

After a pass, register and activate

  1. Complete your DataFlow checks and any exam or other assessment you need.
  2. Submit Get Registered in Sheryan with verified documents and your required result or an accepted exemption.
  3. Ask your hiring facility to request licence activation. Approve its request in Sheryan.

Registration costs AED 200 plus Knowledge and Innovation fees. DHA gives an average of 5 working days. You can register without an employer; you can work only after activation. Follow DHA licence steps for insurance, the labour card and employer steps.

After a fail, check your remaining attempts

The unified PQR counts 3 attempts across DHA, DOH, MOHAP and SHA together; UAE attempt rules explain the shared limit. Declare earlier attempts and failures to DHA. A final fourth attempt has conditions and needs approval. It is not automatic.

DHA’s assessment panel can reduce attempts to 1 or 2 for major competence gaps that risk patient safety. Normal retakes have no fixed waiting time, if seats are available.

After a third failure, the licensing manual blocks DHA applications for 2 years. DHA may allow up to 3 new attempts after a recognised extra qualification gained after your last attempt. Another route requires at least 2 years of licensed clinical work after that attempt. These routes need DHA’s approval.

The Sheryan FAQ mentions only a higher qualification. Ask DHA which route applies before booking. After you use your ordinary attempts, DHA may consider 1 extra attempt at a lower title. You must meet that title’s PQR requirements. Ask DHA whether this option applies to your file.

Review your learning-outcome letter and missed practice topics before a retake. Return to the exam ID tool, then Prometric’s DHA scheduler. We did not find an official DHA rule on reusing an earlier ID. Follow DHA fees and booking; each sitting needs the full fee.

Challenge a result within the deadline

Send an appeal letter to info@dha.gov.ae within 1 month of receiving your result (Sheryan FAQ). The FAQ gives no appeal fee and promises no change. Keep the date you received the result.

Check your expiry before you apply again

DHA accepts an earlier pass for the same title within 5 years of your registration application. You must have no practice gap (licensing manual). This is an assessment exemption, separate from active registration.

Registration lasts 1 year. The licensing manual counts it from issue. The assessment manual counts it from the result date. Use the expiry Sheryan shows. Apply to renew registration in the 3 months before expiry. The service does not accept expired registration.
