MOHAP is the Ministry of Health and Prevention. It licenses staff at the Northern Emirates facilities it regulates.
Choose your profession
- MOHAP exam for nurses: Check your degree. Diploma nurses have a separate route.
- MOHAP exam for pharmacists: Clinical and specialised titles have their own rules.
- MOHAP exam for dentists: Check your degree, internship and work history.
- MOHAP exam for doctors: Use the GP paper. Specialists have their own route.
Who needs the MOHAP exam
MOHAP’s February 2026 service lists private facilities in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. If the Sharjah Health Authority licenses your workplace, use its licence route. Ask your employer which board you need before you apply.
Apply for evaluation. MOHAP reviews your file and sets your title and exam. After a pass, get your letter. Your employer applies for the licence before you work.
How the MOHAP exam works
Prometric runs the MOHAP computer exam through programme EMOH. Your exam can be written, oral or Prometric. You can skip it if MOHAP accepts your exemption.

- The 2025 national-platform announcement does not say that existing licences change over by themselves. Each board still has its own steps to apply. Check the new board’s licence transfer steps.

Which emirates does the MOH UAE exam cover?
MOHAP covers private facilities that it licenses in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. In Sharjah, check the board on your facility’s licence. Dubai uses DHA. Abu Dhabi uses DOH. Ask your employer which board you need before you pay.
Is the MOH UAE exam the Kuwait MOH exam?
No. They have separate exams, rules and licences. Use the Kuwait MOH pages for Kuwait.
Does passing let you work?
No. Your employer applies for the licence with your letter and an accepted work invitation.
